Ninja Gaiden II Review
| Jun. 17, 2008
I actually didn’t have high expectations for this game, which is great because those expectations were not met. After the grinding “expansions” of Ninja Gaiden Black and Sigma, I knew this one wasn’t going to be innovative. Besides the bloody and blurring combat, everything else falls extremely short. A lot of past gameplay frustration, such as difficulty and horrible music has gotten better but still doesn’t make-up for the awful art direction and replay value. » read more
10 Lost Cartoons From the 80’s Part 1
| Jun. 13, 2008
In this first installment, I dig up lost cartoons from the 80’s from the good, the bad, to the absolute shit. Everyone remembers Transformers and Thundercats but what about the awful Skeleton Warriors or Dino Riders? Those were horrible and I’m going to dig up every one of them that I can find. » read more
Lost Odyssey: 30-minute review
| May. 24, 2008
Take all of the most questionably gay aspects of all the Final Fantasy games, magnify them by 100, blow it up with dynamite, vacuum the ashes, blow up the vacuum, and you get Lost Odyssey. I needed a bit of an RPG fix, not an RPG ruin. Yes, I knew it was going to be a typical Japanese RPG, but I convinced myself that it couldn’t be that bad. After Blue Dragon and a few other RPG’s, I can honestly say that I’m frightened to put anything of this genre into my Gamefly queue. » read more
Slam with the Best or Jam like the Rest
| Jan. 28, 2008
Every once in a while something retarded awesome stumbles from the depths of the interwebs. Something like Barkley: Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden.
If you’ve ever wished there were more internet-bashing 8-bit Japanese RPG games based on 1990’s basketball players and the movie Space Jam, this is your thing. It’s a pretty cool thing.
HALOL 3: Thank God The Fight is Finished
| Dec. 31, 2007
The last article of 2007 is no other then the not-so-good review on Halo 3. Really? It’s no surprise that the brothers break down one of 2007’s big blockbuster games into just an average game, giving it a barely above average rating. Inside are discussions about Microsoft’s most treasured franchise and how it spends so much to burn it into our minds that Halo is the greatest game ever. The fight is now finished and Hammered Bros. can finally raise up a tall one to the end of the hype. » read more
Aliens vs. Predator Requiem: A Hardcore Christmas
| Dec. 28, 2007
What better way to say ‘Merry Christmas’ then laser cannons to the face with a badass Predator tearing everything up on site. Aliens VS. Predator Requiem redeems itself slightly from its first failure by Paul Anderson with its over-the-top brutality and relentless violence. An 8-year old boy gets killed within the first ten minutes, which sets the tone for the rest of the movie. » read more
